Announcing the Repair Cafe!

We are thrilled to be a part of a worldwide movement (www.repaircafe.org) and start our very own Repair Cafe in the 47th Ward! We have two generally handy-people, two seamstresses (with sewing machines), a knitter and jewelry-repair person. Do you have a skill you’d like to share or an item that needs some love? Join us!

Losing our ashes

The 47th Ward Green Council is concerned about the approaching loss of our Ash trees and have gathered some resources to help residents and business owners identify Ash trees and arrange treatment if they wish.

Below is a photo of the seed/fruit of the Ash tree, for easy identification.
